Since Friday morning, National SAVE has spoken to many individuals and chapters and how they are responding to the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting. Many chapters are sending letters of support to the students, families, and first responders of Newtown, CT. Others are hosting SAVE meetings and talking about the fears of youth violence in their own school and community. Chapters are meeting with safe school planning committees to review the schools safe school plan and how it can be improved. SAVE members are pledging to do 27 random acts of kindness in memory of each life lost. Other chapters are raising funds to sponsor a SAVE Chapter at an elementary school in their community. Please share what your SAVE Chapter is doing, or what you are doing as an individual.
