Noxubee County High School, Macon
The SAVE Chapter at Noxubee County High School hosted two Safety fairs where students were actively engaged in activities demonstrating highway, school and bus safety, CPR and school rules. Activities included the use of impairment goggles, Rock the (seat) Belt and driving distractions. The SAVE Awareness Rally brought the school and community together to make schools and neighborhoods safer.
In April, 2013, a Pre-Prom event stressed the importance of driving safety during prom and graduation events. A guest speaker form the Noxubee Sheriffs’ Department spoke to students, a short film was shown and SAVE members performed a skit about texting and driving.
Allstate Agents Chris Morgan and George Cain were present at events. Laphilbia Smith is the SAVE Chapter advisor.
