Hancock High School – Kiln

In the Fall of 2012, Hancock High School’s SAVE/SADD Club  hosted a former student who made unwise decisions that led to time in a federal prison as a speaker to their club. He implored the students to be selective in their choices of friends and talked about everything from seat belt safety to the danger of drugs. The club is working to share his message campus wide. The other activities conducted thus far by the SAVE/SADD Club have been community service. They have conducted a Pennies for Patients Campaign and adopted 2 families for Christmas and collected and provided gifts.

The SADD/SAVE Club conducted a Prom Promise signing and flowers with a note attached were distributed as students left prom.   The SAVE Chapter advisors are Cathy Wilson and  Tara Northrop.

Students at Hancock High School held an X the TXT assembly sponsored by Allstate and the Hancock High School SADD/SAVE Club.  Students added their thumbprints to a banner as a symbol of their pledge not to text and drive.
