Harding University High School, Charlotte, NC

This past fall, the SAVE Chapter at Harding University High participated in Weapons Safety Month by creating awareness posters and displaying them in classrooms and around the school.  SAVE Chapter members attended a Gang of One Organization assembly and held an art contest during Bullying Awareness Week.

On March 28 students attended an assembly where Tracy O’Carroll spoke about the excruciating details of her daughter Sarah Edward’s death due to texting and driving.   Earlier in the day, students at Providence High School also took the pledge to drive safer and participated in a distracted-driving demo.

In May SAVE members coordinated an assembly with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and local law enforcement to raise awareness.  Pledges were signed and displayed.  The Advisor for this Chapter is First Sergeant Marcia Jeter.
